A little About Me

My family moved to Sunol from Walnut Creek more than four years ago.  One of the deciding factors in choosing to buy a home and raise our children here was the opportunity for our children to attend a small public K-8 school.

I am the parent of a 6th grade student at Sunol Glen, a 9th grade student at Foothill High School and a small menagerie of pets.

As a parent, I am impressed by the amount of personalized attention and guidance my children receive from their teachers at Sunol Glen.

As a volunteer, I am moved by the amount of community and parent involvement ever present in creating a vibrant learning environment for our students.

Business and Corporate Finance Experience

I have had a successful career in business, most recently as an Assistant Vice President and Director of Research at Banc of America Securities.

I have also held positions at:

* McKinsey & Company, San Francisco, a global management consulting firm

* Wasserstein Perella & Co, an investment bank in New York City

* Columbia University, Palisades, NY

* CBS News, New York City

I have worked as a Senior Research Analyst for Corporate Strategy and Development at several management and e-business consulting firms.

Denise demonstrated great problem solving abilities. She was able to balance conflicting                            priorities by focusing on desired results. I have never worked with anyone more capable of
          "getting the job done ".

    * continue working towards providing a safe and nurturing environment                      from Kindergarten through Middle School.
    * ensure that our students are taught to think critically, globally and with                   a sense of curiosity.
    * foster an environment that helps them develop strong characters and a                    personal sense of achievement and growth.
    * research and look for ideas to keep our small school, specifically the                       middle school, competitive and attractive to students.

Putting Kids First

I would be honored to serve on the Sunol Glen School Board
We continue to face unique issues as a single school, school district and Denise has the talent, moxie and intellect to move us forward.
